Making the decision to begin therapy is not an easy one, but the therapeutic process can help you to understand the reason for your symptoms and behaviors, and assist you in making desired changes. My perspective is strength-based and together we can work to identify obstacles, which may be getting in the way of achieving your goals.
My approach is warm, respectful, and empathetic. I am committed to best practices and am trained in EMDR and ERP. Incorporating various treatment modalities, I offer individual therapy to children, teens, and adults, and am trained in couples and family therapy.
I am independently licensed and have over 20 years of experience treating individuals who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, substance use, life transitions, addictions, relationship struggles, other OC related disorders, eating disorders, ARFID, and more.
In 2015, I earned an advanced certification in Marriage and Family Therapy. Then I completed the Pediatric Behavior Therapy Training institute course in 2016. I am EMDR trained and use EMDR in conjunction with ERP therapy. My experience at The Mayo Clinic also provides me a unique perspective to support you through issues related to illness, grief, and loss.
I strive to provide you with an opportunity to express your feelings and thoughts in a safe setting, free from judgment. By exploring your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, I can guide you towards gaining a deeper understanding of your values and motivations, make meaningful changes, and better cope with and respond to life's never-ending challenges.
Therapy is unique to each person, so it's important to find a compatible therapist that you feel comfortable and open with. Please feel free to ask for what you want... an appointment, a consultation, or simply a response to a question. Inquire about convenient video sessions too!
